Multiply Equip Impact (MEI) was founded in 1959 by Dr. Richard Carter, a man driven by a deep passion to share the love and message of Jesus Christ with the world. Over the next 20 years, Dr. Carter traveled extensively across Europe, Asia, South America, the Middle East, and the United States, establishing churches and witnessing numerous miracles and transformations through the power of faith. His relentless dedication set the foundation for a ministry committed to spreading the Gospel.

In 1978, the leadership mantle was passed to Rev. David Carter, Dr. Carter’s son, who carried forward his father’s vision. Under his leadership, MEI expanded its reach, forming new partnerships and establishing a base in France in 1982. This expansion enabled MEI to broaden its scope, focusing on church planting, discipleship, and humanitarian efforts.

In the mid-1980's onward, mission trips to countries like Haiti, Mexico, various parts of Europe and even the US, became a regular part of the ministry's outreach, responding to both humanitarian needs and natural disasters. The work in France continued through the development and operation of churches, strengthening the ministry’s impact in the region.
